We want to keep the VPN connection alive through the sleep time so that when the user logs backs in they do not have It seems when the sleep kicks in, the computer sends a session kill command to VPN connection. We use Cisco An圜onnect for VPN connection. Also, power management is disabled on the Wifi adapter with Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power To sleep in 10 minutes and hibernate in 20 minutes. Our sleep setting is also configured to put the computer We have group policy for screensaver setting set to lock the screen in 10 minutes and the user has to key in password to log back in after 10 minutes.

No screen saver or power management isn't a fault of hardware that actually is working properly (even according to the Device Manager in Windows 10).We have Windows 10 professional in our domain. It's Windows 10 that behaves improperly when they are being used. The fault was in the decision to view joystick activity as a user being active on the computer.īy the way, joysticks still work correctly in Windows 10. Besides, if it was a hardware compatibility issue, the device should have been listed as incompatible when the pre-evaluation was done (before we got our free update). Right? You might have left the "hardware not compatible" comment out of your statement, if you had. I hope Microsoft will take care of this issue. You have been reading this entire thread.

I found that if I disconnect wireless Xbox controller - screensaver in Windows 10 Pro works fine (starts automatically after time I set). If precisely, it is: 2.4G wireless controller & receiver for Xbox 360/PC. I hope Microsoft will take care of this issue.

To install Win7 64bit drivers for this device - don't makes any difference (screensaver still don't starts itself): this hardware is not fully compatible with Windows 10. Why to connect it to PC if you must keep it disabled ?! To disable wireless Xbox controller in device manager don't makes any sense. I found that if I disconnect wireless Xbox controller (unplug receiver) - screensaver in Windows 10 Pro works fine (starts automatically after time I set). So for those of you who haven't tried disabling devices with Human Interface Devices, it might be worth your time. This method works fine.

If I uninstall it, it reinstalls after a reboot. As a bonus, the Nostromo also still works fine.Īlso, I found that I had to disable, rather than uninstall, the trouble maker device. I rebooted and the delay time for the screen saver stayed the same as I had set it and the screen saver still worked fine. I disabled the second instance of "Razer Nostromo" and the screen saver started working. One is called "Nostromo Input Device", then there are two labeled "Razer Nostromo". Within Device Manager under Human Interface Devices, there are 3 different entries for my Razer Nostromo. I'm still working on getting the screen saver to work on my arcade cabinet, but I figured out the culprit on my desktop, which I will share in the hope that it might help others.
